Description: 

BÖHLER FOX C 9 MV is a stick electrode with a basic coating. The weld metal consists of 9Cr-1Mo-VNb and has a martensitic microstructure, making it particularly suitable for applications in the tempered state.

Fields of application:

This electrode is primarily used for welding creep-resistant steels and cast steels used in turbines, power plants, and the chemical industry. It is designed for use at temperatures of up to 650 °C over long periods of time.

Technical features:

• Low proportion of trace and incidental elements: The Bruscato factor is below 15, which ensures high material quality.
• Limited manganese and nickel content: Less than 1.2 wt. %, which keeps the Ac1 temperature above 780 °C.
• Coating type: Ensures a low content of diffusible hydrogen in the weld metal, which minimizes the risk of cracking.

These properties make the BÖHLER FOX C 9 MV an excellent choice for demanding welding tasks that require high temperatures and mechanical loads.
