Description: 

Core-wire-alloyed, rutile-coated electrode of the type E 20 10 3 R / E308Mo-17 (mod.), enriched with basic components, specifically suitable for ferrite-austenite joints as well as for intermediate layers in weld cladding.

The BÖHLER FOX CN 19/9 M has a lower chromium and ferrite content compared to E309LMo. This reduces carbon diffusion and decreases the formation of chromium carbides after heat treatment. This leads to a lower ferrite content in the second layer of a 316L cladding.

The material can be used in the temperature range from –80 °C to +300 °C and is very easy to process in all welding positions – with the exception of the vertical-down position. The electrode impresses with its smooth welding behavior, clean seams, and excellent suitability for AC.

Base materials for Böhler FOX CN 19/9 M

Dissimilar joints between structural, fine-grained structural and tempered steels with high-alloy Cr and CrNi(Mo) steels; austenitic
manganese hard steels with each other and with other steels. 

Notes:

Preheating and interpass temperature must be adapted to the base material.
Redrying at 250 to 300ºC for min. 2 hours.
