Description:

The Böhler FOX EAS 2-A is an austenitic welding electrode with a core and rutile coating. This electrode, which corresponds to type E 19 9 L R / E308L-17, is used in various industrial sectors where welding of similar steels, including higher-alloy variants, as well as ferritic 13% chromium steels is required. The outstanding features of this electrode include particularly beautiful welding results, excellent weldability in AC operation, and high resistance to hot cracking in the weld metal.

This electrode offers significant economic advantages due to its excellent suitability for welding in various positions and the self-detaching slag, which leaves no residues. The maximum operating temperature is 350ºC.

Notes:

Recommended heat input max. 2.0 kJ/mm, interpass temperature max. 150ºC. Redrying: if necessary 250 – 300ºC, min. 2 hours.
