BÖHLER FOX CEL 70-P – Cellulose-coated stick electrode for pipeline welding
The BÖHLER FOX CEL 70-P is a low-alloy, cellulose-coated stick electrode specifically developed for demanding welding tasks in pipeline and pipe construction. It is particularly suitable for downhill welding on large-diameter pipelines and offers significantly higher efficiency compared to conventional uphill welding techniques.
The electrode is characterized by an intense arc and a very fluid weld pool. This results in high deposition rates, good bead appearance, and reliable process control. It is particularly suitable for hot pass, filler, and cover pass welding on higher-strength pipe steels.
Furthermore, the electrode is also suitable for applications in sour gas environments. Testing according to NACE TM-02-84 (HIC test) is available, as are values from SSC tests, qualifying it for demanding operational conditions in pipeline construction.
