Conarc® 49C Stick Electrode – Basic welding electrode for non-alloy steels (E7018-1)
The Conarc® 49C stick electrode is a high-quality basic-coated welding electrode for non-alloy steels, developed for safety-critical applications in steel, plant, and offshore construction. It offers very high impact toughness down to −40 °C, excellent CTOD values, and an extremely low hydrogen content, even where nickel alloys are not permitted.
Advantages of the Conarc® 49C welding electrode
-
High impact toughness down to −40 °C
-
Very good CTOD values (> 0.25 mm at −10 °C)
-
Low diffusible hydrogen content (approx. 2 ml/100 g)
-
High deposition rate of 100–120 %
-
Suitable for AC and DC (+/−)
-
Weldable in all positions (except vertical down)
Typical applications
Conarc® 49C is ideal for applications with high requirements for toughness, safety, and compliance with standards:
-
Offshore constructions
-
Steel and bridge construction
