Rutile-coated stick electrode for welding tough, wear-resistant surfacings. Weld metal made of wear-resistant chromium-silicon steel.

Important application areas for MTC MT-600 T stick electrodes:

Welding of tough, abrasion-resistant surfacings on machine parts made of structural steel, cast steel, or manganese hard steel, e.g., rollers, treads, crawler tracks, impellers, edge runners, excavator parts, screw conveyors, roller crushers, impact hammers, rolling mill guides, cams, clamping jaws, impact plates, mixer arms, anvils.

Special instructions:

Untreated weld metal of MT-600 T stick electrodes can only be machined by grinding. When welding multiple layers, welding can be performed through the slag. Preheat higher-carbon or crack-sensitive base materials to +200°C to +300°C. For highly crack-sensitive base materials, weld an intermediate layer (buffer layer), e.g., MT-307 HL. Weld metal is forgeable and hardenable.
