Rutile-coated high-performance electrode with 160% metal recovery for welding highly wear-resistant deposits. Weld metal made of chrome hard alloy.

Important application areas for MTC MT-DUR 59 stick electrodes:

Welding of very hard, wear- and abrasion-resistant deposits on machine parts and equipment made of structural steel, cast steel, or manganese hard steel that are exposed to very high abrasive wear from sand, gravel, coal, cement, or other abrasive materials. For excavator teeth, conveyor systems, mixing and stirring blades, press molds, guides, chutes, and similar parts that are subject to little pressure or impact.

Special notes:

Weld metal can only be machined by grinding. Fully covering slag, which partly lifts off by itself. Good build-up weld bead with a smooth surface and low mixing with the base material. Do not apply more than a maximum of 2 layers. For greater build-up heights, fill up beforehand, e.g., with MT- 600 T.
