Electrode with a thick basic coating for hardfacing applications with medium hardness, where the machined surface must remain machinable. It features good weldability in out-of-position welding and is free from cracks and pores. This electrode is particularly suitable for hardfacing to withstand sliding wear (e.g., on guideways), impact wear (e.g., on cams), and rolling wear (e.g., on wheels and rail tracks). Typical applications include use on rails, switches, crossings, and wear parts such as rope pulleys, drive wheels, guide rollers, tread plates, support rollers for tracked vehicles, wheel flanges, and chain links.
