Oerlikon Citorex Welding Electrodes
Oerlikon Citorex welding electrodes for unalloyed and low-alloy steels
- Slag easy to remove
- Good root weldability
- No tendency to stick
- Rutile-basic coated
- Suitable for tack welding
- Good gap bridging
- Current can be set very low
Oerlikon Citorex rutile-basic coated welding electrodes suitable for use in many areas, featuring excellent welding properties. Suitable for operating temperatures from -10 °C to 350 °C. Particularly applicable for X-ray-safe welding of root, filler, and cover passes in boiler, pipeline, and tank construction. Very easy to control in out-of-position welds. Quiet and stable arc. Easy to master even for inexperienced welders, and highly valued in welder training due to its ease of handling. Can be welded with low current.
Due to its low Si content, the Citorex electrode is particularly suitable for subsequent galvanizing or enameling. For a more finely rippled weld appearance, FINCORD can be used as a cover layer.
Sheet thickness maximum 16 mm; for fillet welds, sheet thickness maximum 30 mm, throat thickness maximum 10 mm.
General: structural steel, fine-grained structural steel, shipbuilding steel, pressure vessel steel, pipe steel, cast steel, reinforcing steel
