Oerlikon Overcord Welding Electrodes
Oerlikon Overcord welding electrodes for unalloyed and low-alloy steels
- Smooth, slightly concave seams (vertical-down welding)
- Good gap-bridging properties
- For tack welding
- For vertical-down welding
- Slag is partially self-releasing
- Notch-free transition to the base material
Versatile rutile-cellulosic coated Oerlikon Overcord welding electrodes for repair, assembly, and workshop welding. Assembly work can be carried out with constant amperage in all positions. Suitable for operating temperatures from 0 °C to 450 °C. Quiet, stable arc. Weldable with direct and alternating current. Easy to handle, making them suitable even for inexperienced welders. Coarse-droplet material transfer.
Easy striking and re-striking. Relatively insensitive to impurities in the weld seam area.
The welding electrodes can also be used with 220V mains transformers and are weldable at a 42V safety voltage. Oerlikon Overcord Z is recommended for a softer arc.
General: Due to the powerful arc, also limitedly suitable for galvanized steels
